17 weeks...

I'm now 17 weeks along, well out of my 1st trimester, which is a good feeling. The morning sickness is gone, which is a huge relief. Other than being tired and my back already starting to hurt, I have no real complaints. The other night at work, we took a peek at the little one on our ancient US machine. Always fun to see baby, he or she has grown so much & was busy sucking his/her thumb. I will have my big US in about 3 weeks, but no we are not finding out the sex. We are going to have a 3rd surprise!
It is amazing to me how many people think that we are having another baby because we want a boy, and will actually make comments to that effect. So no, I don't wonder if this baby is the boy we've been hoping for, and please don't say things like that in front of my GIRLS. Anyway...I guess I should be used to the rude comments people can make when you're pregnant but it never ceases to amaze me. All right well I'm just a cranky pregnant lady I guess LOL.
Here are a few pics we took today. As you can see I am still stuck in the fun fat stage, where I don't really look pregnant. Oh well, I'll get there soon I guess hehe.
I think Madison is actually getting a little excited about the baby, it took a month but she finally spilled the beans to her preschool teachers and friends. Juliana, I'm sure she doesn't really get it, but she likes to talk to my belly, it's really cute.

Great Wolf Lodge 2010!

Last week we made our second annual trip to The Great Wolf Lodge. We had so much fun! We picked the perfect time to go because there was practically nobody else there. We even had the toddler area all to ourselves for a good while. This year was even more fun than last year, just because the girls were bigger of course. Madison was able to swim by herself with the life jacket, which she thought was the greatest thing ever. Juliana was big enough to wade through the water without me having to hold onto her so that was really nice. I wasn't able to go on the big slides this year but Rich did so that was good. Madison still refused to go on the little kid slides, but maybe next year :-) Juliana fell asleep while riding with Rich in the wave pool, it was very cute. I can't wait to go back!

Christmas 2009, part 2

A few days after Christmas, we headed over the mountain to celebrate Christmas with my side of the family. The night we got there we had a great dinner and opened presents. The girls were of course spoiled rotten! We spent almost a week there. I got a fun day of shopping with my mom and my aunt while the girls stayed with Grandpapa. We spent lots of time with my brother and his wife and just had fun in general.

The night before we were supposed to come home, Rich, Madison and I unfortunately all got the stomach flu, which was horrible. Luckily Juliana escaped the torture and got to have fun with Grandmama all day, making duplo towers and baking jelly rolls yum!

Christmas 2009

Christmas is my favorite time of year and this year was especially fun with both the girls being old enough to understand. They were very excited about all the Christmas things in the store, and all the Christmas lights everywhere and just everything in general. Christmas Eve we spent most of the afternoon and evening at Rich's grandmas and then over at my inlaws. We had pizza and opened piles and piles of presents. It was a lot of fun. Christmas morning we woke up, opened presents, (which didn't take as long this year so that was nice) and then made our traditional Christmas breakfast, which was yum. Later that day we went to Rich's aunt and uncles for dinner, which was another great meal. After that I went to work, which was sort of a welcome relief from all the nonstop festivities. For most of the night I had no patients anyway so I actually got to relax.

5 years of marriage!

On December 18th, Rich and I celebrated 5 years of marriage. A lot has happened in 5 years - a move, 2 kids, both of us starting our careers, and so on. It's been hard, but I wouldn't change any part of it!

Another big event...

On December 8th I celebrated my 30th birthday, woo hoo! We were originally going to go to Zoo Lights at Point Definiance Zoo and Aquarium but being as the temperature was in the low teens, we decided that would not be a pleasant experience. So instead we stayed in town and went to dinner at Red Lobster yum! The Sunday before my birthday we had a little family party at my inlaws which was nice. Since I wasn't behind the camera there is only one picture of the big event LOL.

Thanksgiving...

The Friday before Thanksgiving, Rich had a work thing in Spokane so he went ahead and took the girls to my parents house, which meant I got the house to myself all weekend! Too bad I had to work but hey it was quiet while I was sleeping all day. The girls stayed with my parents and he came home on Monday. I put a first coat of paint on the living room and did most of my Christmas shopping before we headed over the mountains on Wednesday afternoon. My mom hosted Thanksgiving and it was great to see all of my relatives. Apparently I took no pictures so I have none to post!
Okay I'm going to try hard to catch up on the events of the last few months since I've been a very bad blogger!

In October, Rich and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary. Hard to believe it's been 10 years since we started dating but it has! Amazing that somebody could put up with me that long haha!
