Juliana's Check Up!

Juliana had her 15 month check up yesterday so I thought I'd write about it. Yes I know, she's 16months old, I'm a little late here ok! LOL.
Anyway, she weighed in at 21lb 4oz, which is actually 2 oz less than her 1 year check up but the doctor didnt say anything so I guess its okay. She measured 32 in, which I think is either 2 or 3 in growth since her 1 year check. So I guess she's putting everything into her height. She is in about the 80th percentile for height, she sure doesnt get that from me!
Her weight however puts her in about the 12th percentile. (You wouldnt know it by looking at her LOL, she's still a chunk). Oh well, Madison was like that, started out high on the charts and then slowly went down until she fell off completely. But she was off the chart well before 1 year old so Juliana's got that on her.
The doctor told me that I should try to get Juliana to drink 24 oz of milk every day. Yeah right. I'm lucky if she'll drink 2. She does love yogurt and cheese so I'm not worried about this.
This in combo with other little things makes me think maybe its time for a new pediatrician.
So that's my little update. I've got new pics I've been meaning to post, maybe I'll get to that someday.

Christmas 2008 part 2...

On Dec 29th we headed over to Eastern Wa to visit my side of the family. We had an adventure trying to find chains for our van, they were sold out here in our city thanks to all the snow we had. As we got close to North Bend we heard on the radio that chains were required in the pass so we were really desperate to find some then. Luckily we found some in North Bend so we were able to head over the mountain. Which by the way, was not that bad at all, just some compact snow on the roads. When we got to my parents they told us there had been a blizzard that morning, so the storm must have been just ahead of us. Thank goodness. Rich and I have done some scary drives over the mountain (like in the dark with it snowing hard) but I don't like to involve the girls in that! We had a great time at my parents. They had a ton of snow so we played in that, and we also took the girls bowling. Here are some pics from our visit...

Christmas 2008

Hard to believe another Christmas has come and gone. It was so much fun this year, only because I have my girls! Madison understood a little more this year, and that made is more exciting. She didnt even cry when I took them to see Santa. Juliana did of course, but she calmed down after a minute and we got a decent picture.
Christmas Eve was spent at Rich's parents with his siblings. We had pizza and opened presents. We were supposed to go to Grandmas house on the water, but the roads were too bad unfortunately. Christmas day was spent mostly at home. We got up, opened some presents, had a big breakfast, then opened more presents. It took until noon to finish all that. Maybe we should buy less presents next year LOL. After that the girls took their nap, and then we went over to Rich's uncle for Christmas dinner. After all that...I got to go to work LOL. But that was okay. I did get a mom in around 10pm, who'd been having contractions about every 20 minutes all day. She said she was really not wanting a Christmas baby. She had a sweet baby girl at 1:06am the day after Christmas LOL.
