Summer...

I can't believe it's already the end of July. Summer goes way too fast. We haven't even done any of the little day trips we were going to do! But we will, at least I hope!

The first 2 pics of Juliana are from her 10 month photo shoot. I've been getting her pics taken every month, and I can't believe it's almost time to be done with that! She's getting so big, she can stand on her own briefly, and she has been attempting to walk, but of course she just falls right down. Soon!

The picture of Rich is from a race that he ran a couple weeks ago. A little town near us does something called the Bear festival, they have a fun run, a parade, and actual bear stew! Rich won the race!

As you can see in one picture, Madison doesn't understand the concept of summer vs. winter LOL. The last two pictures are from today. Madison and I made ice cream sundaes. She thought it was a lot of fun. I could tell she wasn't sure until she first tasted it, but then she scarfed it down.

Our plans are to go to Ocean Shores for a day, and to hopefully get up to the Zoo, not sure which one yet. We went last year, but I think Madison will like it better this year. In a few weeks, Rich will be back to coaching, and I will visit my parents for a few days. Then it'll be Sept, and school will start, and it will be birthday season in our house LOL.

Go Go Go, it never ends I guess. And to think I'm considering a part time position at work. I must be insane!

Spring is here finally!

Finally the weather is turning nice! It was in the high 60s or so today so after Juliana went to bed about 6:45, Madison and I were able to go outside for a half hour. It's always nice to get to spend some one on one time with each of my girls. We don't have a lot of toys in our yard (need to fix that), so Madison really just likes to walk all over the place around the house. Tonight, I pointed out some slugs to her and she was absolutely fascinated! She wanted to search all over the place looking for them and so we did. We found plenty too (yay). At 7:30 I said it was time to get ready for bed, and surprisingly she didnt put up a fuss. She got her jam jams on, we read some stories, said our prayers and she hopped into bed. Now of course, she is probably playing in there as I type but hey at least she's quiet.

We took Juliana to the doctor today to get a couple of shots, and the Dr. weighed and measured Madison. She weighed 25 1/2 lbs, and was 37 in tall! She was only 33 7/8 in at her checkup in October! I knew she had grown!

We didnt weigh Juliana, so I need to do that on Grandma's scale. She got 2 shots and she did so well, just whined a little, poor thing.

Juliana continues to sort of fascinate me. She seems to have some superior knowledge of all this, like she's been here and done this all before. She's definately an old soul.

All right well, now that they're both asleep, I am off to work out. Bathing suit season is on the way LOL.
